Clicks for Quakes
Here’s the idea.  Get 20 minutes in front of the camera for $30.  Get an email with a hi-resolution image from the shoot.  Get a tax-deduction for all money donated.  Haiti gets the money.  It’s that awesome.  I will be joined by photographer Sasha Wolff to pull this whole thing off. Two days, February 27th and 28th, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.  Bring your family.  Bring your friends. ...

Startup Ecosystems Take Time →
inetmac: A great post regarding the long process a region goes through in order to become a “startup friendly” area. I think West Michigan is in that first decade step of trying to find some success stories in order to build experience and talent. The area has a great historic entrepreneurial history. The problem is that most of it’s is over half century old and may no longer be “relevant” to...

Bride, Beauty and Photography
The best part about photographing weddings is that, by nature, I see my subjects at their most beautiful.  So much joy, spontaneity, love and life that is in the air, and everybody is in costume and dressed to the nines.  Where else does this ever happen anymore? As an artist, I’m always working on improving my photography, which is why it is important to collaborate and try new...

Building Rome in a Day  →
This is the power of data.  Lots and lots of data.  There are so many places that I could go with this.  Sometimes it’s good to put aside personal copywrite and add to the collective whole in the pursuit of something larger and more substantial then the individual image.  Sometimes.  I’m seeing more and more of this crowd sourcing when it comes to multi-dimensional imagery or super hi...

Normally I don’t spread links to far, but this photographer deserves many page views.  I love how fantastically creative it is.  People say that anything that can be shot has been shot, from pretty much every angle.  This proves otherwise. There is still more out there, we are only limited by our imagination.

The prodigal data. Pictures that were on a hard drive that went out to the world, saw life at it’s worst, became lost, and now, is found. Celebrations are in order, time to kill the fatted calf and frolic around the newly working hard drive. God bless Disk Warrior (version 4).

A rest day.
Today is a day of rest.  All the running around and seeing friends is becoming quite exhausting.  Going anywhere in this city takes an hour, no matter what goes on.  One train to the other, then bus, then walk, then walk more.  It’s almost worth it, parking is so rare in this city, and then if you do find a space I’m not going to post the prices because they’re not entirely...
